I was diagnosed at 47, and remember thinking how that was just too young to be given this ALS diagnosis. @OCLMendoza was diagnosed at just 21. His zest for life, love of sports & incredible attitude inspire me & everyone that has the privilege to meet him. https://t.co/efJbiBrkkM
I had a guy friend with a Ph.D in engineering ask me last week how women pee with a tampon in and this is why men shouldn’t be passing laws about women’s bodies.
Weekend Read: With multiple factors contributing to the growth of fire seasons, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to the question of how to live with fire — but UO experts are drawing from many different disciplines to offer ideas. https://t.co/8H7pQKJSOv

MD, ED, OD, PsyD, DDS, PhD, all have their specialties. Some save lives, some prescribe meds, some pull teeth, some educate, some define moral & ethical principles...their expertise in the subject is what earns them the (apparently threatening) title of Doctor, not your opinion😆
If you're at a dinner and somebody introduces himself as "Dr. Smith," you'd be rather upset to learn that he had a doctorate in musicology if you were to suffer a stroke at the table.
There’s been a couple of times that I, in my EMT wheelhouse, was more prepared & better educated than what you call “actual” practicing doctors. My favorite was a car crash where (acting as Good Samaritans) an MD thought he could tourniquet... distal to the injury.
