i def didn't foresee our 50/50 gsd/heeler mix being the chill, floppy little fluffball she is but at 7 months old she is already further outside the puppy stage than elsie is at 2 and a half years lmaoooo

it's definitely less that elsie is more puppy-like and more that she has the intensity, drive, and raw brute strength of a rhinoceros driving a monster truck, but she uses all of it for love (okay mostly food)!!!!!!!
