We were very grateful to be able to discuss our fears about this Bill with @DavidGHFrost on Wednesday. It is not a small pragmatic change, it is a huge terrifying one and one which could place detailed information into the hands of the exact abusers it it trying to stop. Thank you for listening and for teaching us about the History of Westminster Hall and the Democratic process and how the committee stage of a Bill works. We really hope everyone in the House of Lords will use it to inform themselves on the dangerous unintended consequences of this Bill and we would be very grateful for the opportunity to come and talk to you all about what these are from our perspectives

@mossgatherer_ Yup they remove my welcome posts in HEAG and 8 see the same thing. Was in a meeting with FB folk last night and got a bit of insight into the issue. The piece of code that's flagging us is the same bit that's catching all the spammers & bots....

Unfortunately, despite the claim in this article, the bill doesn’t contain any actual support for existing home educators at all, and shows no sign of improving access to exams.

It introduces a duty of support on LAs - but only as they ‘think fit’. Exams are not mentioned.
