How is language calculable by machines? How does AI learn from reward and punishment when we don’t know exactly which move caused success or failure?

Can’t believe I’ve already read half of The Shortest History of AI. It’s a fun read.

AI actually began about 80 years ago. The book explains how mathematics helped solve the problem of how AI learns by itself, and how AI represents words using tokens.

Very happy, social media time down to 14 mins today. I didnt feel I missed anything.
The time left I used it to read the shortest history of AI. Watched Karpathy’s one hour LLM video and trained soccer with my son.

@levelsio I don’t see this is a reason to avoid fruits and vegetables. If we don’t get veg and fruits, the risk might be higher? And is with microplastics harmful, how much?
