I genuinely don’t understand how we are supposed to casually process that a glacier literally collapsed in Nepal, erasing 19 bridges and killing over 600 people, because the planet is too hot. And instead of stopping it, billionaires are building more data centres. It is completely psychotic.
i’m so serious if generative ai ceased to exist tomorrow, nothing in my life would change except for the fact that i’d be less pissed off and frustrated and that most of the apps i use would start working properly again lmfao
we don’t need to halve the population. thats eco facism. we need to get rid of militaries (responsible for 70% of emissions), data centers, companies that produce single use plastic, and switch out of fossil fuels to clean energy. but they’d rather let people die than do that
They cut funding for your healthcare, your children’s schools, and disease control.
But they can fund flock, data centers, wars that make everything harder. ICE can kill with impunity.
And if you dissent to any of it, you’ll be called a “commie” and they want to kill you too.
The minimum wage is meant to be the lowest wage you can live on and afford housing. So, for everyone saying "it's not meant to be that," yes, it is. That's why it's called the minimum wage.
we live on a planet where trees warn each other of danger through underground networks. where octopuses dream. where elephants return to the bones of their dead and stand over them in silence. where bees communicate through dance, showing each other where to fly. where flowers bloom...where crows remember human faces -especially those who were cruel to them - and pass that memory on to their young. where ants build entire cities. where cats purr at a frequency that can help heal bones. where forests, after fires, grow flowers first.
i don’t recall a single trans athlete participating in recent games, but i do recall steven van de velde being allowed to compete in the 2024 paris games a few years back AFTER being convicted of raping a 12 year old girl in 2016
Israel is wiping out critical bridge after critical bridge in South Lebanon.
Civilians can’t flee.
Ambulances can’t reach the wounded.
Entire communities are cut off from food, medicine, and essential supplies.
This is intentional.
This is a crime against humanity.
I’m Californian. If my city gets bombed and I die just know that I don’t think it was Iran I think it was the U.S. government and that I hate those evil fucks.
An unarmed Iranian ship was invited, along with the U.S., to be part of an Indian Naval exercise, and its sailors paraded on land before the president.
The U.S. at the last minute pulled out of the exercise and instead attacked the Iranian ship with a torpedo.
Breaking with all norms of civilization and warfare, we then refused to rescue the drowning survivors. The Sri Lanka Navy was left to pull the dead bodies from the water.
I am hard pressed to think of any other nation throughout history that would do something so cowardly and despicable. We are genuinely in a league of our own, and American media — mostly shrugging off the bombing of a girls school and acting as if carpet bombing Tehran is a normal military tactic — is deeply complicit.
Destabilizing our economy and removing social safety nets means people are stuck in survival mode to the point where they're too busy trying to afford groceries, medications, and find jobs to pay attention to anything outside their personal lives. Apathy bred by desperation.
how lucky we are to sit in the comfort of our own homes, able to freely live our lives, eat proper meals, pursue our hobbies while across the world, on the same planet we share, innocent people, families and children just like ours are forced to live in constant fear of death…
Western media won’t air this bc they don’t want you to grow a brain & realize “wait, I can shut down the economy. All the wealth is built off my labor. I can own my labor, without my labor there are no billionaires”. That is capitalisms worse nightmare. Imagine a system that runs
The year is 1926. People are dying of consumption. Worker rights are spiraling toward an imminent economic crash. Global political tensions are steering us toward another world war.
