Can’t believe the accessibility team went awol leaving other teams to pick up the pieces. Been a life long citizen but this year @ManCity really let their disabled fans down.

@ManCity @ManCityCouncil @MENnewsdesk we come to these parades every year. Each year there are issues; treating disabled people like 2nd class citizens. This year is the worst ever. People are crying. We can hear the show but not allowed in!!!!!!!!

@sophiehrMEN Disabled people queuing for hours at access point. No information apart from we might not all get on to the platform.originally said only ten people could get in. 10,000 able bodied in ther.Discrimination at its best. Too late to view anywhere else now we’ve waited so long here!!

@MENnewsdesk Such a sad and preventable lose. I was an inpatient her 18 months ago and put in a written complaint about their lack of safeguard procedures, I have since been in Alti Priory and they are even worse for safeguarding

@AndyBurnhamGM I will DM you. But I do not believe they will help to resolve the matter as I know the placing housing organisation has already asked them for help but their response was poor.

@AndyBurnhamGM The housing organisation that agree to place people are given no say as to which properties are best suited and the local authority of the area are not informed of the placing which results in no local authority support unless somebody has the foresight (me) to email certain

@AndyBurnhamGM I will DM but to be honest I don’t have any hope in them helping. As I know the housing organisation that have given the person the property have ask housing first for their help and their response it ‘that it’s not their responsibility anymore as the person is no linger homeless

@AndyBurnhamGM THEY have created and your office never lets the people of GM contact you about this issue. So @AndyBurnhamGM I ask you what your plan is to solve these kinda situations. Or did you use the ‘solve the homeless crisis’ as a way to get elected and didn’t take into account others

@AndyBurnhamGM The victims of their terrorising become ill themselves but their circumstances are not and can’t be taken into account due to the protect of your services. No victim of these circumstances are able to ask housing first to help them solve the problem
