@MBDscience This was lunchtime today having not yet had any classes in the lab. Thankfully when it was time for my lesson there was a lab with aircon available. With exam classes gone the 6 of us in the dept are now able to move so we all get at least some of our lessons in air con labs.
Lab techs have been looking in the backs of cupboards again. We'd really love to make contact with anyone who would be able to help us re-home some vintage equipment. It's too old to donate to schools and not quite old/special enough for a museum. @Hookean1@joel120193
@mrbartonmaths@adamboxer1 Love your work Craig. I've recently changed from listening to music at the gym to listening to your podcasts. It's a great motivator to get back for another workout!
@cogscisci We were back today and SLT gave me five minutes to plug #cogscisci to the whole staff during INSET! Great to have their support and to see the interest from colleagues.
@CraigMcKeeEdu@Headteacherchat@DeputyGrocott I was teaching Science at a school with an autism unit and had a boy in my class who was minimally verbal. Once, when teaching state changes, I had the students stood like particles as in a liquid. The boy walked off, as he often would, but said "I've evaporated". I was so proud!
@ScottPughsley Haha! In a 'Spoons hotel tonight and the family are stressing over tomorrow's breakfast! "But you can't have a breakfast without eggs!!"
Great to see an ex-student smashing it as captain of the winning team on #UniversityChallenge. As a Y7 I predicted he'd be PM one day; does this count as halfway there!? ๐
@joel120193 That looks like a spark counter. Connect it up to a high voltage supply, hover a radioactive source above it and you'll get a lightning show!
@staffdb66@Hookean1 My colleague has been through the paper and says 'In isolation I dont have an issue with these questions. I have an issue with the fact that are all in the same paper'
