I’m still stuck on this idea: investing in more sleep for climate justice. If everyone in the United States was encouraged to sleep an additional hour or two, the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions could be huge. Like the size of smaller, more sustainable countries huge.

When I told my advisor that I was pregnant she supported me wholeheartedly. She taught me the term “mother-scholar” and that these identities inform one another. Dr. Cruz is a real one.

Lately I’ve noticed how every time a museum educator makes a remark about the skills of education translating curatorial speak for multiple publics, at least one curator jumps in with “not all curators”. Sending “not all men” vibes.
