What I’m learning from Barbie and the Taylor Swift tour is that women want to get dressed up and go places and have fun and men are invited but if they’re going to be a drag they can stay home, and that makes some men VERY angry.

My department is asking for money for graduate interns. Staff are not paid a living wage. I’d love to pay grad students for their work, but first we need to be paying our staff for their work.
I’m still stuck on this idea: investing in more sleep for climate justice. If everyone in the United States was encouraged to sleep an additional hour or two, the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions could be huge. Like the size of smaller, more sustainable countries huge.
