Needed some yard debris hauled from hacking down a lilac bush in rough condition. First estimate: $275. Seemed crazy. Second estimate: $500. A friend's truck: 0. Took half an hour total loaded, to the dump, and unloaded. I believe people should be paid fairly for their labor but wow. Feel bad for people who are alone in this world without a friend with a truck.
