@JoshHanson1530@lawprofblawg You do! And so do I!
I got my BA w/a 2.5 GPA in β08. My 167 LSAT & I got WLβd almost everywhere. @McGeorgeLaw was the best call I ever made.
I was published on law review, an editor, moot competitor, graduated w/honors & passed 2 bars on the first try.
We forge our own path.
@YPractitioners@lawprofblawg Youβre completely excluding students who:
-Canβt afford to relocate to a top tier school
-Have children they refuse to uproot
-Went to law school later in life but had a low undergrad GPA
-Have sick (or healthy) family members they want to stay close to
They have value.
@YPractitioners@lawprofblawg This pre-supposes that someoneβs knowledge, skill, & worth is defined by their schoolβs rank, leaves no room for growth, & entirely ignores the many factors/circumstances that would lead someone to choose a lower ranked school intentionally.
@borderschmorder 2/2 How long ago did you take your bar? Do you not remember the fatigue & exhaustion that had set in by now? Do you really believe those of us who have worked hard have enough brainpower left to cram new material? It is an emotional advantage but does not reflect on my competence
@borderschmorder 1/2 There is an ocean between saying it was slightly easier and implying someone wouldnβt have passed without it. Has this eased my anxiety and uncertainty? Yes. Have I had an opportunity to fully memorize material I wouldnβt have known otherwise? No.
