I think it’s time our goverment recognised the work we have been doing during this pandemic and gave us the thanks we deserve.

I wouldn’t normally do this but here goes. I’m a newly qualified nurse working on a covid ward in a central London hospital. Today like many days over the last year I received an email from my trust informing me that sadly another one of my colleagues has died from covid 19.

from covid 19, their lives lost and not recognised. The only acknowledgement health care professionals have got for their bravery was a few weeks of clappping at 8pm on a Wednesday night.
