The reason?

These were deemed “too political” and “controversial”.

The real controversy?

The UK government continues to risk complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza and is failing to press Israel to end its apartheid against Palestinians. And the UK government is not doing enough to address China’s transnational repression.

@UKLabour Removing juries won't speed things up. The court will hear exactly the same evidence. There will be far more appeals. It is totally wrong to vest all power in one judge. Juries from across the community have a full discussion weighing up the evidence. If it ain't broke....
