I used to buy those cheap sunglasses from the roadside all the time and always thought, "What's the point of buying expensive ones? I'm going to loose them anyway." Then one day, I gathered the courage and bought an expensive sunglasses. And guess what? I still have them. I've taken care of them ever since.
That's when I realized those cheap sunglasses weren't getting lost because they were cheap? They were getting lost because I didn't value them enough to care. It's hard to accept, but sometimes in someone else's story, you are that cheap pair of sunglasses.
look the rich don’t split bills, that’s why they’re richer than you.
you spend 30 mins at dinner calculating who ordered what, wealthy people just pick up the whole bill with no calculator, no awkward convo or annoying gestures, they even leave bigger tip than expected.
my dad taught me something i’ll never forget: the person who fights over small money will never be trusted with big money.
being cheap is expensive.
it costs you opportunities, relationships, goodwill and trust. refuse to be cheap.
8 years of marriage and this man still doesn’t know how I take my coffee because he never cared enough to learn. Yesterday I asked him to make me one and he said, “WHAT KIND OF COFFEE DO YOU EVEN WANT?” It made me really sad. It may seem shallow to others, but it genuinely hurt me.
People will say it’s “just coffee” but women notice the small things. A man who pays attention learns you without being told 100 times. Imagine being married for 8 years and your husband has never once made you a cup of coffee the way you like it.
Your brain doesn't age because of time. It ages because of repetition. The more predictable your days become, the faster your neurons quiet down. Your brain builds neural pathways based on experience. New experiences create new connections. Repetition strengthens old ones. But when you repeat the same patterns for years, your brain stops building. That's why time feels faster as you age. Your brain stops encoding new memories. It just references old ones. A year at 40 feels shorter than a year at 10, because at 10, everything was new. At 40, everything is familiar. But neuroplasticity doesn't stop. You can still grow new neurons. You can still learn. You can still change. You just have to break the loop. Your brain will wake up. And time will slow down again.
I really wanna be a WIFE BUT i wanna be a genuinely happy wife. A submissive wife. A cooking wife. A loving wife. A glowy wife. A secure wife. A Caring & obsessed wife, to a Honorable, provider, hardworking, LOYAL, loving, romantic, emotionally intelligent, God fearing husband>>
(In no way disrespect to anyone killed by ICE) but the way in which the media coverage is only focusing on Renee and Alex but never Keith is terrible anti-blackness. This is why "SAY HER NAME" was never applicable to Renee because we know her name. We have to say HIS
If you wanna know how much can change in 5 years, back In 2019 these guys said they couldn’t breathe in a mask, but now they can’t shoot a woman in the head 3 times without one!
Turns out women get more autoimmune diseases from suppressed anger and trauma...so basically every time you don't flip a table, your immune system takes a hit. Moral of the story? Throw the fucking chair, girl. It's preventative medicine
