Yesterday was spent mostly reflecting on how our stories can lead movements for change. Today I was working with amazing staff from @RoyalFreeNHS NMUH site where we talked about data teaches but itโs the stories that connect us to our share purpose!
Such an amazing day! Started meeting with my Horizons family & my social movement hero Marshall Ganz. Then a fabulous meeting with my ECIST family. Ended up with attending the #IND25 @ Westminster Abbey! Iโm full of hope for future of UK nursing together we can make a difference!
So important that racism like this is talked about! We have to accept itโs uncomfortable, but we use this feeling to lead the change! @HelenBevan@marinasoltan_ https://t.co/SeOuwNR71i
Great day for @RoyalFreeNHS yesterday as all staff played their part supporting patients getting home for Easter ๐ฃ working with @ECISTNetwork and @Monique191079 who were supporting running a #MADE#SpringInToDischarge Helping patients to leave hospital is everyone role.
@EastMidRailway just saying trains that leave later let people on their trains ๐ณ
Sorry to my friends, I donโt mean to be so grumpy ๐ซถ๐ผ Iโm just cold and want to get on the train home.
@EastMidRailway survival tips please for the worst East Midland trains in the country Norwich to Liverpool? Why arenโt we allowed on the train until minutes/seconds before the train leaves, when is there going to be power reliably on this train, when are you going to get WiFi?
Completely agree with Alice, the stress of healthcare when youโre a mum trying to get the best for your child. I will always remember my son after his OPA โThatโs a day in my life I will never get back again.โ Different has got to be better! #digitalNursing
There's a growing understanding of the importance of empathy (the ability to understand, share & respond to emotions/perspectives of others) for leaders. For every competency that helps a leader become more empathetic you can draw a line that connects it with a better way of delivering results.
@hacking_hr has produced a leader's "playbook" for empathy. It sets out:
- 9 strategies to build trust and a people-centric culture through empathy
- 7 ways to improve the experience of people at work through empathy
- 10 key actions for empathy-driven success in leadership
- 8 competencies of the empathetic leader
- key insights on the power of cultivating empathetic leadership at work

@RobertThirsk day out @IWMDuxford with Kevin and Josiah, we were wondering what has more buttons the Space Shuttle or Concorde? This is definitely a day we wish you were here โบ๏ธ
Completely agree @BrianwDolan your results do not define your future! I left school with 3 GCSEs, felt my word had ended but it was just the beginning! Now I have 3 degrees! @Elizafpound finished her degree with a 1st! #solvingTogether Thanks for your support Brian โบ๏ธ
For those worrying about what now after A levels, not least if you have dyslexia, dyscalculia and dyspraxia (or all three), then Liza Pound's @BangorUni story may cheer you - spoiler alert she's doing brilliantly as a registered nurse!๐๐
