What a group of PGA of Canada professionals💥
This year's Women in Coaching cohort spent time with @GolfCanada this week and included Alexa Kim, Maria Veronica Noriega, Rachel Pollock, Kristi Roach, Kate Weir, Stephanie Wong and Jennifer Woods, with Keri Moffat joining as mentor
Thank you to the @pgaofcanada for the continued partnership with @GolfCanada on this important program. More women in coaching is important and critical for Canada’s player development pipeline & funding from @golfcanadafdn@ownthepodium
@TimCPeel20@CarloColaiacovo Hey, don’t be coming after Garrett Rank. This kid is a national treasure on and off the course.
So instead of being the absolute killjoy square box that you seem to be, why don’t you just stick to being retired, Tim.
@Bellabee61252@meeshfitz You know that none of what you’re saying is true. You are literally just on here to pick fights. It’s obvious after looking at your feed, negative bullshit is all you ever tweet or retweet. Please go away and get some help.

@PaigeSpiranac@James_Crosby92 I’ve always liked Joe, gave him the benefit of the doubt until I saw more camera angles… he was out of line. Probably got caught up in the moment but he owes a couple of apologies.
Here is George Clooney response after Trump accused him of being a "Hollywood elite."
"Here’s the thing: I grew up in Kentucky. I sold insurance door-to-door. I sold ladies’ shoes. I worked at an all-night liquor store. I would buy suits that were too big and too long and cut the bottom of the pants off to make ties so I’d have a tie to go on job interviews. I grew up understanding what it was like to not have health insurance for eight years.
So this idea that I’m somehow the “Hollywood elite” and this guy who takes a shit in a gold toilet is somehow the man of the people is laughable.
People in Hollywood, for the most part, are people from the Midwest who moved to Hollywood to have a career. So this idea of “coastal elites” living in a bubble is ridiculous. Who lives in a bigger bubble?
He lives in a gold tower and has twelve people in his company. He doesn’t run a corporation of hundreds of thousands of people he employs and takes care of. He ran a company of twelve people!
When you direct a film you have seven different unions all wanting different things, you have to find consensus with all of them, and you have to get them moving in the same direction.
He’s never had to do any of that kind of stuff. I just look at it and I laugh when I see him say “Hollywood elite.” Hollywood elite? I don’t have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, Donald Trump has a star on Hollywood Boulevard! Fuck you!"

“Hello. Is this the Dean of UBC medicine?”
“Yes it is. How can I help you?”
“This is the minister of health. I know for 30 plus years under multiple governments as a province we haven’t been training enough doctors given our population growth. It’s become particularly bad the last few years. We need to change this now.”
“Well that’s not so easy. It takes 4 years of medical school and then 2 to 7 years of residency. Your government already announced some increases to medical training. And you announced Simon Fraser medical school is starting in 2026. Those grads will be ready come 2032 to 2035.”
“We struggle to find patients adequate care now. We can’t staff ERs. Is there any way we could speed this up?”
“There are many Canadians who grew up in communities here who have gone to other countries to do medical school because we didn’t have adequate training spaces. Places like Australia that have very high quality equivalent training. They want to come back but can’t because there are not enough residency spaces.”
“So if they came back the time line would be accelerated by 4 years?”
“Exactly. It costs around $100k per residency position. We could try to target critical areas like ER docs, anesthesiologists, family docs first. If we really put all hands on deck we could likely boost positions by 10% for July 2024 then another 15% for July 2025.”
“Let’s get this done. How do we know they will stay at the end of training?”
“Most positions for those coming back to Canada have an attached return of service. We fund the last part of their training and they in exchange work in a community with need for a period of time.”
“I sure wish we’d had this conversation sooner. There will be some bumps in the road to make this happen but let’s get this done.”
