I wish some non-disabled ppl understood how liberating it is for a disabled person to accept and even *love* their disabled body. My disability makes me feel powerful and strong. It's so inherently a part of how I see the world. When you look at me, you should see it.

Something similar happen to me years before some of these features were available. I tried to break the car window while hysterically crying after telling the driver I was at the wrong location in the dark. I ended up home and safe but the trauma stays with me. #ProtectWomen

On Saturday, June 17, I was on a Lyft ride in Washington, D.C. that made me fear for my safety.

My driver missed numerous turns, prolonging my ride. In the midst of D.C. traffic, he almost hits a car and slams on his breaks, stopping about a foot from the car in front of him-

It's insulting to a person that I knew beyond her public status. Someone who fiercely loved her community, and supported so many young folks with disabilities like myself. Judy loved us and we loved her. She deserves so much better than what we're seeing. Rest in power, Judy ❤️

No, but really. How? Nothing @nytimes? She's a literal icon and so much of our world wouldn't be what it was without her leadership and advocacy. She got an honorary doctorate from NYU for crying out loud!

You don’t have to subject yourself to that trauma.

It should not require another video of a Black human being dehumanized for anyone to understand that police brutality is an urgent, devastating issue.

This will truly be my last time flying out of @BWI_Airport but absolutely appreciate the sweet wheelchair attendant who did help me thru security and she was patient & kind. #flyingwhiledisabled

By far the absolute worst experience @BWI_Airport this AM. I understand large crowds, but telling #disabled ppl to wait in long lines to check bags & having an employee insult my appearance was over the line & totally rude. #flyingwhiledisabled
