What they haven’t reported was that in Wales, where no strike action took place, mortality rate was 14% above the 5 year average. 1/3

During the strikes I’m reminded that I, for approx £22 per hour:
- Am often the most senior surgeon overnight
- Operate to remove your child’s appendix, your gallbladder or fix your hernia
- Come in on days off to see how you are after I operated on you.

So many sad stories on this thread. Even sadder: they're not rare. Close friends are treated poorly by the NHS Trusts on a regular basis, emotionally manipulated into exhausting themselves. I hope non-doctors read this and understand why we're considering strikes.
