@RiverRune88 I didn’t intend for this to be deep at all, just genuinely was curious if others felt trying would be worth it in hindsight if the failure wasn’t only known to them. I have done both (tried with embarrassing failure) & lived with the regret of not trying. The latter hurts more.

@greenes_circles We are always told that more regret comes from “not trying” than failure… but I was genuinely curious if people still felt that failure that caused embarrassment (or was not a failure that only they knew themselves) was still worth it (writing or otherwise.)

@greenes_circles As someone who has humbly done both (tried & failed with embarrassment) and wrangled with regret of not trying… I agree that more discomfort comes from not trying or giving up (all of which actually had nothing to do with writing- but I definitely agree with you about writing.)
