We are urgently seeking homes for 4 XL bully type dogs. It will be illegal for us to rehome them if they don’t have homes by 23 February. They have been thoroughly assessed by our behaviour team over a period of months, microchipped, neutered and given a clean bill of health:

How is no one in the #petinsurance UK world not offering Medical care for XL bullys? They will be on a lead and muzzled so chances of accidents minimal. Can we not consider medical only insurance for a flat rate? If not why not? Genuinely interested! @VetsurePet @PetplanUK

@David_Gibbins It does. There are so many factors involved and it’s not as simple as banning the breed. It is multi faceted and not a simple fix by any stretch which is why they haven’t explored it I guess. It needs multi agency involvement and listening to people that actually know !

Before the #xlbullyban it’s was the pit bulls. Since the ban has been in place a reported increase in web traffic looking at #canecorso dogs. BSL has never and will never work. All that happens is impossible suffering for all involved dogs and people included. Which breed next ?

This new year is not happy. I see my friends and colleagues struggling with the catastrophic addition of xl bully’s to the dangerous dogs list and it’s only going to get worse in the coming days. The legislation hasn’t worked for over 30yrs. #endbsl #XLBullies
