With scaffolding and a tarp now up on the North Portico, the White House appears to be undergoing some sort of additional construction or restoration work.
Since the start of his second term, President Donald Trump has started several projects to remake the nation's capital, including the destruction of the White House's East Wing to make room for a new ballroom. He's also seeking to construct an arch outside Arlington National Cemetery.
PBS News' Liz Landers (@ElizLanders) asked the Trump administration for more about what's happening. Here's what she found out.
ICE LYING ABOUT DEATH AGAIN.
If ICE claimed that their vehicle was rammed by immigrant Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, before they killed him, then where are the scratches and dents on the front of his van?
I’ll wait patiently.
@tarenfeist That is so well said and thank you for your post. That is exactly what we've had to do - trim staff hours which hurts them and also had to raise prices which hurts our loyal customers.

Ezekiel 18 actually fits perfectly with why we do need Jesus….it doesnt cancel Him out.
Yes, Ezekiel 18 emphasizes personal responsibility for the soul who sins shall die and the wicked person who repents can live and a righteous person who turns to sin will die.
God takes no pleasure in anyones death but calls all of humanity to repent and live. Thats beautiful but it doesnt remove the problem of sin or the need for atonement.
The entire Old Testament system that God gave Israel shows that forgiveness requires blood sacrifice.
Hebrews 9:22 which is quoting the Torah states clearly without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
Animal sacrifices in the temple were a temporary covering….pointing forward to something greater.
They had to be repeated constantly because they couldnt permanently remove sin or perfect the conscience (Heb 10:1-4).
Thats where Jesus comes in. He is the once for all Lamb of God whose shed blood fulfills the righteous requirement of the law and provides the forgiveness Ezekiels call to repentance anticipates.
And if were going to talk about living by the law…scripture is clear that no one is justified by perfectly keeping it for all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse (Gal 3:10).
James 2:10 says “Whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.”
Everyone stands guilty before God for breaking His law as the law diagnoses our sin…..it doesnt save us. It actually proves our condemnation.
Thats the Good News of the Gospel as we all fall short of His glory but God made a way.
Jesus took the judgment and paid the penalty of sin so that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in those who walk in Christ by the Spirit (Rom 8:3-4).
Repentance is still commanded but now its repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ezekiel 18 doesnt say there was never a need for a Savior. It shows our desperate need for one and the whole Bible points to Jesus as the answer.
The New Covenant promised in Ezekiel 36:26-27 of a new heart and Gods Spirit within us is exactly what Jesus made possible.
How do we all descend from Adam and Eve? Science and scripture actually align more than many think.
The Bible is clear: “From one man God made all the nations that they should inhabit the whole earth” (Acts 17:26).
Humanity starts with Adam formed by God then Eve from his side who is the federal head of the human race….one family, one bloodline.
Fast forward to modern genetics. In 1987 researchers published in Nature that all humans trace their mitochondrial DNA (passed strictly thru mothers) back to a single woman Mitochondrial Eve who lived in Africa roughly 150-200k years ago.
Theres also a Y chromosomal Adam the patrilineal most recent common ancestor for men but heres the part that gets interesting:
A 2004 Nature study modeled human genealogy and migration. It found that every person alive today shares common ancestors who lived just 5000–7000 years ago.
Not because humanity was tiny then but because family trees converge rapidly due to intermarriage and migration. Go back far enough and the same people appear in everyones ancestry.
These arent in conflict. Mitochondrial Eve traces one narrow maternal genetic line which takes longer to converge. The 5–7k figure is about full family trees (all lines….both mothers and fathers).
Science shows a unified human origin….the bible names them Adam and Eve.
Were not some random accident from disconnected groups….were image bearers of a Creator, fallen in Adam, redeemed in Christ….who is the last Adam (1 Cor 15:45).
This isnt blind faith. Its evidence pointing toward what scripture has always said: Were one humanity, with one problem sin, in need of one Savior who has come to save us and make a way back to God the Father (Jn 14:6).
@Tami1501@NewsNation Do you know what you got it from? My daughter was violently ill a couple weeks ago and it must have been this before they knew what was going on. She guessed that maybe she didn't was salad items enough because that's all she had.
