@ThomasAllsteadt@stackerco I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In my early teens, one of my bestest friends was Catholic. We have grown apart (life and physical distance) but are still fond of each other. I have the upmost respect for Catholics. ❤️ Thank you for your kindness.
@joyinbecomingp1 For me personally, I have "only" 3 children. But we STRUGGLED to have kids (miscarriages, hard time getting pregnant), and after my 3rd, we reluctantly realized through prayer that we were done. However, we are getting to a point where we can foster care, and this talk reminded
President Oaks' grandfather telling him, "I will be your father." 😭😭😭 You can hear it in his voice how much that meant to him.
Powerful.
Grandparents, your influence matters.
Come unto our Heavenly Father. Take upon yourself the name of Jesus Christ. Identify with Him. Always remember Him. Strive to be like Him. Join Him in His work. Receive His power and blessings in your life. #GeneralConference
@jonathanaplumb@OaksDallinH When I was young, and Pres Hinkley died, whom I loved dearly, I was skeptical about Pres Monson. The first talk he gave as the Prophet filled me with immense love and peace, and I knew from that moment that he was called if God. I know God calls who we need. ❤️
The Lord expects us to be peacemakers.
Difficult as it may seem to be, we have the responsibility to pray for those who may persecute us, as Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount.
We need to learn to leave judgment to Him.
@GrayM0untain@BYU4eva@sambbenson@kslnewsradio@KSL5TV You know, more white people "milk the system" than any other race, right? I'm speaking not only of the information from the census but also as a daughter of a white woman who did/does just that.
I'm sorry your friend was run over by someone.
I know I’m getting ahead of myself in Holy Week, but my thoughts keep returning to Gethsemane.
Even the Son of God fell to the ground and said, “O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me.”
But the cup could not pass. There was literally no other way. It had to be done. So, the Father did not remove the burden, but He sent an angel to minister to Him.
And isn’t that what He so often does for us? The trial may remain, but so does the ministering strength from heaven.
@ProdigalSonMatt I was 6. I sat on my knees on a small primary chair, as kids often do, and one of the primary presidency bore her testimony that the Church was Jesus Christ's restored church. My heart burned, and I felt calm and peaceful, and all was quiet. I knew she was right.
