Islamists militias in Somalia, Yemen and Sudan etc systematically seize the homes and properties of those they target, persecute and fight against. They do that in many countries, killing millions. That doesn’t seem to bother most people.

Unlike you, I don’t have insight into the bank accounts of all Muslims in the UK. But as I understand it, Muslims are religiously required to support other Muslims when they can afford to, and the Muslim Brotherhood (alive and thriving in the UK but banned as a terrorist organisation from UAE) will no doubt support their brother in arms further afield.

When I was Muslim, Surah 5:32 was my favorite verse to quote.

“Whoever kills a soul, it is as if he killed all of mankind.”

I put it in every debate. Every conversation about Islam and peace. It felt like the most beautiful verse in the Quran.

Then I read it slowly.

The verse doesn’t say Allah revealed this to Muhammad. It says: “We decreed upon the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL…”

Wait. Decreed where? When? I went looking.

Bro, then I found it.

Mishnah Sanhedrin 4:5. A rabbinic commentary on Cain and Abel, written down around 200 AD like four centuries before the Quran. Rabbis discussed why Genesis says Abel’s “bloods” (plural) cry out and concluded: whoever destroys one soul, it is as if he destroyed an entire world.

Insane that it was word for word, with the exact same context. Bro, the same Cain and Abel story it’s attached to in Surah 5.

What I thought was the most beautiful verse in the Quran turned out to be a rabbi’s classroom commentary...

Literally, that’s when the question changed for me. It went from “isn't this verse beautiful?” to: What the heck is a rabbinic homily doing inside a book that claims to be the eternal, uncreated speech of God?!

Because there are only two options. Either Allah quoted the rabbis. Or a man in Arabia heard Jewish teachers and repeated what they said...

The crazy part is, the Bible predicted men would do this. “I am against the prophets who steal my words from one another.” ( Jeremiah 23:30)

That was the start of my journey toward Christ. I stopped defending the borrowed word of the Quran.

I found the Living Word.

Absolutely disgusting that Russia continues to target civilians. I can’t believe the Russian people are happy with Ukrainian civilians to be slaughtered and left to freeze to death. I am surprised that Trump is happy for murderous Putin to make him look ridiculous and powerless. It’s also surprising how Trump cosies up to a murderous dictator that supports Iran while Trump is at war with Iran. Perhaps if Trump put the screws on Putin, he would get out of the Iranian mess quicker. If the American Leadership really thinks killing civilians is the actions of a humanitarian, they need a new dictionary.

Three waves of ballistic missiles have been launched at Kyiv by Russian “humanitarians” since yesterday evening. They used 21 missiles. Unfortunately, numerous sites across the city have been hit and damaged: ordinary residential buildings, energy facilities, infrastructure at one of the railway stations and the metro, shopping malls, and businesses. Even a monastery is among the damaged sites. Our emergency services are working at all the affected locations. Twelve of our regions came under Russian attack overnight. In Kyiv and across the regions, 34 people were injured, including five children. As of now, two people have been confirmed killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones.

Almost immediately after another round of talks, Russia launched a pointed attack. This means there has been no real change in its attitude toward everything that is happening. It is important to keep trying to find the right solutions to end this war. But when Russia responds to negotiations with ballistic missiles, real pressure on Russia is needed to bring about different steps – steps toward ending the killing. Stronger air defenses and the rapid delivery of missiles, the ability to destroy ballistic missile launchers, sanctions over the war – all of this must be in place. I am grateful to everyone who sees the situation for what it is and acknowledges the reality. The aggressor deserves to be treated accordingly. Ukraine deserves support. People's lives deserve protection. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine!

Коли побратими востаннє бачили 29-річного Михайла Нікітіна, він лежав непритомний та весь закривавлений - і вони були впевнені, що він загинув.

А він вижив. І ця історія - про те, як людина тримається на одному слові: "Я обіцяв повернутися".

Ввечері 29 жовтня 2024 року підгрупа 11 бригади НГУ ім. М. Грушевського на чолі з Михайлом, позивний "Нікітос", вирушила у Вишневе під Селидовим.

Селище вже було майже окуповане. їх було 14. Він - чотирнадцятий. Для решти це був перший серйозний бій.

Бій тривав понад п'ять годин. Михайло стріляв з дальньої кімнати, кидав гранати з дверей, маневрував по хаті, створюючи видимість, що їх тут багато.

Михайло: "Я особисто порахував тих, кого бачив на власні очі - 40 чоловік рівно. Це ті, кого я знищив своїми руками.

Але було багато ситуацій, де я стріляв масово, через перешкоди - там порахувати не було можливості. Є інформація, що їх набагато більше".

А потім стався той момент, який він пам'ятає досі. Шоста ранку. Він сидів у кріслі навпроти дзеркала, закурив сигарету - і почув за парканом:

"Хазяйва, хазяйва!" - перший окупант прийшов випробувати долю.

"Я вилетів туди: дві ефки, чотири рожки під паркан - і все. Почався бій.

Потім - РПГ у двір та FPV-шка, яка розірвалася за метр від голови: вибуховою хвилею його викинуло, а шифер, що летів разом із ним, узяв на себе всі осколки. Хлопців посікло - обличчя, руки, ноги.

Потім його автомат заклинило, у побратима теж. Він виходив без зброї взагалі. Гранат теж не було.

На дорозі їх накрило ще раз. 120-ка. Троє впали: він, Лека і дід.

Лека загинув одразу. Дід лежав за спиною Михайла - і прийняв на себе все, що летіло в нього. Михайлу осколок пробив шию ззаду.

Він лежав і бачив, як хлопці біжать полем. Вони думали, що він "двохсотий". І вони пішли.

Група зникла з поля зору. Він залишився сам. І виключився.

Він прокинувся в тишині. Кров виходила, він боровся зі сном, бо розумів: заснеш - і все.

Зняв із себе все - екіпіровку, комбінезон, термобілля, - максимально облегшив себе. І пішов. "Зомбі-походкою", як він сам називає.

У Григорівці він дістався до перших хат та знайшов військові сумки під парканом.

Вийшов дід - побачив, що в Михайла нема половини обличчя, - і послав його подалі.

А Михайло почав кричати: "Національна гвардія України, старший сержант Нікітін Михайло Анатолійович!"

Вони довго не могли вирішити, хто з них піде забирати "трьохсотого" під воротами. Він уже подумав найгірше. Але зрештою прибігли зі словами:

"Нікітос, ти просто Бог".

У той день Вишневе і Селидове були окуповані повністю. З 14 вийшло 9. П'ятьох втратили.

За проявлений героїзм і знищення понад 40 окупантів Михайла Нікітіна представлено до ордена "За мужність" ІІІ ступеня.

В нього роздроблене обличчя, зламана щелепа та осколки. Йому вставлять металеву пластину.

"Буду тепер Термінатор Т-4000", - жартує він.

І каже: "Я горжусь собою. Не дав пацанів в обіду. По-перше, я патріот. По-друге, я людина-воїн, який розуміє, що його робота небезпечна і що ризики - це частина роботи".

In Britain today, we have a de facto Islamic blasphemy law, ushered in by the Labour Government’s official “anti-Muslim hostility” definition.

It is being enforced by the police, the courts and now the Government’s own counter-terrorism programme, Prevent.

A programme tasked with stopping people becoming terrorists is being used by activists and extremists to silence legitimate criticism or mockery of Islam.

In recent weeks, comedian @JohnCleese was referred to Prevent and faced calls from Muslim activists to have his Birmingham show cancelled over comments he made about Islam on social media.

Reform UK Shadow Chancellor @RobertJenrick was reported to the Metropolitan Police and referred to Prevent after he called radical Islam the biggest threat to our country and called for the burqa to be banned on @danwootton’s show.

Robert isn’t wrong, is he? Radical Islam is a threat. MI5 has said that Islamist terrorism is the biggest threat to Britain.

Restore Britain leader @RupertLowe10 was reported to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards for linking Muslims and Pakistanis to the rape gangs, despite Baroness Casey’s report concluding that Muslim men of Pakistani heritage were disproportionately involved in these heinous crimes.

Conservative Shadow Justice Secretary @NJ_Timothy was reported to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards by Labour MPs, branded “Islamophobic” and faced calls to resign from then Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer after criticising a mass Muslim prayer event in Trafalgar Square.

Reform UK was reported to the Equality and Human Rights Commission by 28 Labour MPs over its comments criticising Islam and the same mass Muslim prayer event.

It was the Islamist website 5Pillars that broke all these stories. A Home Office unit, RICU, has even labelled the group a “subject of Islamist extremist concern”.

These activists know what they are doing. The sinister weaponisation of Prevent will undermine public trust in the programme.

We must not let an Islamic blasphemy law take root in Britain.

We have always had important, strong strategic relations with the United States of America. Our bilateral relationship began developing particularly actively during the full-scale war. I am grateful for all the support.

But we have always built our relationship on honesty, fairness, and, most importantly, transparency. Because when you lie while your people are at war, it is very painful. That is why I have always wanted to hide nothing and never lie to the President of the United States. In any case, we have more in common than America does with Russia. Most people in Ukraine and the United States of America understand this. We would like to continue having the same open, honest, and pragmatic relations with America that we have today.

The position is very simple. We support a mutual energy ceasefire. If we are talking about the idea that we should not strike back at Russian energy facilities after they strike our gas, electricity, oil – everything. The Russians are striking. America cannot stop them. Let's believe that America really wants to, but cannot. Then, as a partner, I am willing to meet President Trump halfway: if they strike us and we cannot strike back – that is neither honest nor fair – but if this is what you need, if you cannot rein Putin in, then give us interceptor missiles so I can protect our energy infrastructure. You couldn't stop Putin – but you helped Ukraine.
