@theanomalyof71 Oh boy. Word is that a config change essentially erased all the BGP routing into Facebook. And the only way to fix it is to physically go into the data center and update the servers.

I feel vindicated for every "routine" network change I've ever pushed back on. 🤣

Update: Saturday, over a week after my SIM was disabled. New SIM never turned up. Good thing I went with @ThreeUK on Wednesday!

@virginmedia was supposed to send me a new SIM due to an update on their network. It never arrived. Friday, they cut off my current SIM. I called, they apologized and said they'd send a new one right away. It's now Wednesday. Still no SIM. Guess I'm switching providers today.

@virginmedia My perfectly functional SIM was cut off with no warning. I was guaranteed to have a new SIM no later than Tuesday. Today's post has already been - still not here. My husband requested a new SIM on Friday so this wouldn't happen to him, and it arrived Saturday.
