Ugh, I keep logging in here to delete my account before remembering I once had a whole ass community here.
It would be nice if I could look back on dumb tweets from 2012 without feeling like I'm actively participating in the destruction of democracy.
Such a relief to read through a list of potential Liberal leaders and see a bunch of QUALIFIED people. Lawyers, experienced politicians, professors, health care leaders... I've never voted liberal in my life, but seems like they'll do alright.
rewatching The Holdovers and the way this scene makes me BARK every single time fr needs to be studied in a lab. an absolute masterclass in line delivery from both giamatti and sessa. cryin actual tears
Do we still believe publishing is ~ a dream job ~ and we should accept any salary because it's sunshine and rainbows and we love books? Didn't that bubble pop like half a decade ago? 😅
Just casually peeking into the Canadian publishing space and seeing that they're out here trying to fill full time mid-level marketing positions for 33K... That's, uh, disappointing.
@ my bank: extremely embarrassing that even though I was the one to sign all the documents and paid the down payment completely on my own and had the perfect credit score y'all are still emailing my husband for info about our mortgage 🙃

My hearing doctor said the way to fix my tinnitus is to just try to drown it out with other stuff until it goes away, so basically me listening to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack at work is a prescription

Just suddenly crippled by embarrassment at the number of times in my 20s I accidentally went on a date with a male friend without knowing it was a date. It was 3 times!! 3 entirely separate times!! How!!
Now that he knows how to talk, more often than not his first word in the morning is "cheese".
But! Yesterday he woke up from his nap and said "ham". The two food groups.
As much as I would love a child who eats his fruits and vegetables with no fuss, it seems more appropriate to have one who will only eat things that are covered with cheese
I am *soooooooooo* tired of having health thing after health thing these last 2 years. Vestibular migraines now. Can I blame childbirth on this? Because childbirth was responsible for all of the other things, let's throw it on the pile.
Feeling like this is a ~safe space~ now that no one uses Twitter anymore, but I've just been thinking/laughing about how about a decade ago I was juuust emerging from my genderfuck phase and rediscovering femininity, and suddenly plunged into a group of all female peers.
Like! Yeah! Women! I didn't find out until a whole YEAR later that they all hated me for it!! Thought I was a showoff, boy crazy or whatever, when I literally had my first boyfriend EVER during that time. It was... yeah? women? A weird lesson to learn during a vulnerable time.
