@WhosDenverJones Kinda harsh! I'm all for putting in boundaries but poor kid reading this. We don't know anything about Noah. He may have social difficulties that mean he struggles to know how to interact.
I’m an NHS GP & I’m raising a RED FLAG 🚩
My patient had a significant medical emergency at 1am last night & was told a 14 HOUR WAIT for ambulance
His options
- get a taxi himself
- wait 12 hrs to see GP
14 HOURS?! We CAN’T let this go on!
Can someone with power DO SOMETHING!
I don’t know enough to have a fully informed opinion on this. But the impact this could have on those with lived experience entering the profession stands out. Yes we need more quality social work practice, but that should be through understanding of the system not top down info
Want to know more about why so many of us are concerned about the negative impact of Frontline in social work?
This 15 point blog does a nice job summing up the key issues concisely, including links for more information.

I’m so sad to know how real this is. But at the same time with knowledge comes power and the opportunity and motivation to try to bring about change. Watch this space…

@AdviserCare@centrepointuk I find this so hard to see knowing how many foster carers genuinely care for those young people social care makes them reduce or break contact with. People CARE and ARE there. But the system needs to allow that to happen. All views are my own
@SteveChalke Yep! Asylum seeker = someone claiming asylum and their case is being looked at; refugee = someone who has claimed asylum and accepted by the country claiming asylum in. Too often that words are misused
@SharonLMartin1@AnnaGupta2@NIROMP2 I agree in principle that there are too many “professionals” involved. However there does need to be some form of independant oversight in terms of holding social workers accountable and ensuring best practice. + levelling of the hierarchy between social workers and foster carers
@DownloadFest Wow, I’ve never seen pictures of download like this before that show the numbers of people there! I told a friend who works there id seen a post about how good it was. He said its always great to hear of people enjoying it. On the weather side, we were lucky with the tennis too!
@imagabrielaa @SarahSeymourSm1 It will be interesting to see what uni students say to this. I know in young people I have spoken to, knowledge of what is ok would have helped so much
Something so relaxing about watching tennis like this and listening to the sound of the ball on the racket. I dont know if its just knowing the feeling that gives, or if its the same for non players too
@codesportsau@ashbarty I love this so much. It is so different to a narrative I have heard of having to be perfect. So good to have great role models for the next generation
