@magicwithen I have 3 cats. I won’t let them go beyond 24 hours without a visit. I have either a neighbour or a cat sitter come and check on them/litter trays/food & water.
@sapphyreblayze Brit here - my cats are indoor only. They have their own room full of toys and climbing furniture. No way I’m letting them free roam, I see posts on Facebook every day with cats getting run over.
@freedombill3 agreed! Got married in a register office, bbq and disco afterwards. We went on our honeymoon 3 months later. My husband worked overtime to pay for it, and we’ve no debt due to our wedding. There’s lots pressure these days to have an aesthetically pleasing wedding.
@cm_bagot If it’s a big amount of money, I always send a thank you card. For example, our wedding, people were so generous and a text just didn’t feel enough. I’m more than happy with people sending a quick text, but I think it’s v rude to not acknowledge it at all.
@HaydenHewitt I agree vets bills are getting ridiculous now. However, owners need to be responsible and get insurance. I’ve got the top plan, which costs about £90pm, but covers 3 cats. Wouldn’t consider getting a pet without it.
@MartinSLewis when buying my first home (in the south of England): ‘you should buy a property/get a mortgage based on just your husband’s earnings.’ I get where they were coming from.. in case I wanted to be a stay at home mum, but our house was £350,000. 1 income would never cover the cost!
