I played around with BookFlix, a Scholastic app. This app pairs fiction and non-fiction books together based on themes so that students interest is sparked with the fiction book and then they can learn more with the non-fiction book! There are also assessments #techinpedagogy
This week I was introduced to and explored Raz-Kids, a comprehensive reading tool for K-5! Teachers can monitor their students' reading abilities and students stay engaged since it is interactive! #techinpedagogy https://t.co/3ZTLr00q5d
I just discovered @ABCyaGames - there are tons of educational games on different subjects for different levels. To go with this weeks theme of digital citizenship, I watched a video and took a quiz on the 'cyber 5' https://t.co/eohl1wcRtr #techinpedagogy400
@Cateri017@ClassDojo This does look like an interesting way to incorporate behavior management into the classroom! I often just see color charts in the classrooms that I am in
I just created a demo class on @BloomzApp! Although I will not have my own class for a while, I love this! Easy way to keep your parents in the loop whether it is a reminder, note on the student, or pictures of activities! Check it out: https://t.co/ZCvhIufaUM #techinpedagogy400
@Cateri017@_vinnybee_ I think I am definitely going to try starting an education inspired pinterest. Hopefully my scrolling will be more productive then!
@Cateri017@_vinnybee_@mikeshaw890 I agree! I found myself on instagram looking at random edu posts last night. I wonder where my time went. I'm struggling with trying to make this more productive. Thinking of saving the posts I really like or keeping a journal? Maybe this is where pinterest would be better?
@_vinnybee_@JoshuaElliott3 I recruited data scientists for an artificial company - I was surprised at the backgrounds we would look for. It was candidates that were strong in math but necessarily computer science. It is an interesting answer to this question!
