@JenSeniorNY My mom once told me she asked her grandmother how old she felt at the latter’s 90th birthday party. Great-Grandma said “27” without missing a beat!
@TheAshleyClem Thank you. I miss her but I know how much she would have enjoyed this so I’ll just have to enjoy it twice over for her! LBD brings back so many good memories and I’m really grateful for that.
@ThatRabbiCohen @ancestrydna It could be an NPE (“non-paternity event” — unexpected dad) but it could also be Ancestry’s algorithm, or lines you haven’t traced yet. Also, the further back you go, the less likely you are to have inherited DNA from an ancestor. I wouldn’t be too put off by it!
@ThatRabbiCohen @ancestrydna Also, have heard from other genealogists that percentages of Scottish on Ancestry are usually a lot higher than expected. They are definitely estimates and changeable!
@ThatRabbiCohen @ancestrydna Were your ancestors from northern England near the Scottish border? I have both Scottish and English ancestors but show up as higher % Scottish on Ancestry because many of the English ones were just south of the Scottish border.
