Learners as young as 11 years were seen carrying pangas, knives, swords and golf sticks through Alexandra on Wednesday night while heading to a candlelight ceremony for a learner shot dead on Monday. The learner was reportedly shot after allegedly attempting to hijack a motorist along Roosevelt Road, next to Madala Hostel. Concerned parents are calling for increased police visibility, amid reports of possible gunshots near the memorial service. One parent warned: “These kids are marching with weapons. Please be safe if you’re using the road.”

The Randburg Magistrates court has heard "Mr M" has over 300 voice records involving Shadrack Sibiya’s alleged criminal activities

He claims he recorded this information while he was traveling with Sibiya and is ready to share it with relevant authorities

Mr M further says he has pictures to prove that Sibiya is involved in high profile cases including that of senior officers, politicians including alleged underworld figure Vusimuzi Cat Matlala , an arrested sergeant and a "Brian" who is NW businessman

He says this is because Sibiya has painted him badly during his bail application describing him as being "nasty" towards him.

This was revealed through WhatsApp messages that Mr M sent to Sibiya wife Sizakele Dlamini

The bail hearing has been postponed to October 13. KH
