It is sad to see people actually thinking that Steve Hilton can win the governorship, or Spencer Pratt can win the mayoral election in Los Angeles.
They don't understand California politics.
Let me tell you two sad facts: neither thing can happen.
Joseph Stalin once said words to the effect that the people who vote don't determine elections. The people that count the votes determine elections.
But there's more than that in California, and Stalin would have been amazed if he had seen how this state has rigged elections.
If everyone in the state voted for Hilton, and everyone in LA voted for Pratt, both would still lose. You think I'm exaggerating?
Here's how Democrats have rigged the system. In California, every registered voter, alive or dead, legal or illegal, still in district or not, gets a ballot mailed to them. Every single one.
In CA, ballot harvesting is legal. Which means the massive Democrat machine sends operatives out to collect those ballots that were sent to people who aren't there, or senile citizens in old folk's homes, or anywhere else they can, and votes them for Democrats.
Then, they dump those ballots into the conveniently placed collection boxes that are all around the state, so the scammers don't have to go very far to drop them off. No need to actually pay for postage. Nope. Just drop them off.
Then there's the fact that any ballot received within seven days after an election gets counted. If the Democrats need a little push, they just put those pre-postmarked ballots into the post office box, and they get sent to arrive in time to change the election results.
The real problem is that there is no low-level Republican effort to rebuild Republican presence from the bottom up. The CA Republican party is a bunch of elite do-nothings who ask for money and then use that money for 'election events' like dinners, flights around everywhere, and pontifications. They're as big a bunch of grifters as Democrats are. They just have less power.
So before you all go "Rah Rah!!! We're going to win!!!" Realize that not only is the deck stacked against Republicans, but the order of the cards in the deck are already determined.
The winner of the California gubernatorial race will be whichever Democrat gets on the general election ballot. And the winner of the LA Mayor's race will be Karen Bass.
Not because the people voted for them. But because it's the Democrat machine that "counts the votes."
Absolute must-read. If you can handle on a Monday...
Difficult to choose best pull quote, but here’s one:
"you begin to suspect that what we call democracy might be more like a stage: a circus of competing politicians who look like leaders but function, in reality, as employees of a system they do not control.” @KevorkAlmassian
A thread about Calvary chapel, Britney Spears and Diddy’s business manager LOU TAYLOR, and a mysterious investment firm (featuring a Haitian orphanage).
If you don’t consider it newsworthy that a secret meeting was held, where it was discussed how to run an influencer op on behalf of a foreign government, then I don’t know what to tell you.
@BGatesIsaPyscho We will soon end this crime against humanity and our planet and bring justice to the plutocrats who are perpetrating this mass uncontrolled experiment.
One of the most striking things about yesterday’s Zelensky press conference was Lindsey Graham’s reaction to it. The two are old friends, but Graham disavowed him within the hour. This was more than just transactional disloyalty. It was scapegoating. Lindsey Graham knows what’s coming. Over the past three years, with the tacit support of its western patrons, the Ukrainian government has committed a remarkable number of serious crimes. The Ukrainians sold huge quantities of American weapons on the international black market at twenty cents on the dollar. These weapons are now in the hands of armed groups around the world, including Hamas, the Mexican drug cartels and the forces now controlling Syria. God knows what the Ukrainians have done with the pathogens in American biolabs in their country. Even US intel agencies aren’t sure. The Ukrainians have also murdered a number of people in various countries in political assassinations, and tried to murder others, including American journalists and a European head of state. This is all true, and it’s all going to come out at some point. Better to start blaming it on Zelensky now.
People who lie casually and profusely, for no apparent reason, are so baffling to me.
Here, Gavin and friends have a whole conversation about how he and his BFF Doug Hendrickson went to state schools for college. But Gavin never attended a state college—he received a diploma from Santa Clara University, a private Jesuit college, after his dad pulled strings to get him admitted. (I don’t say he “attended” SCU, because he definitely wasn’t active on campus. He has explained he was given a “totally customized,” “self-paced” academic program and “barely” graduated after repeatedly failing classes.) Doug went to nearby San Jose State and has claimed to have played baseball against Newsom in college, but that was a lie.
Anyone who ever advocated that more taxes would create more equality or value are being proven categorically wrong.
All more taxes did was empower the bureaucratic class with resources to steal, grift and create shadow organizations to do things the US government wasn’t supposed to be doing in the first place.
The receipts in just the first 14 DAYS already prove this out. Can you imagine what we learn over the next 14 months?
This is a very well laid-out summary of the poor state California is in. It is not partisan; it's just where we're at.
Forget party. We need to be just Californians and make sure we have public servants who will take care of the state.
When you hire someone, you'll fire them if they're not doing their job. We need to do no less here. We need to fire every single state and city politician who is being paid with our taxes and not doing the job for which they're paid.
