@AlaskaAir explain why your gate agents forced people to check their bags as they scanned boarding passes. And then all of the overhead bins were empty after everyone boarded. Wouldn’t it make more sense to let the bins fill up and check the last remains bags that don’t fit?!
@AlaskaAir They announced it was due to “lack of overhead bin space” and asked for 12 volunteers prior to boarding. Then, when no one volunteered, they said they would “make people check bags during boarding”
