So here’s the thing. Obama didn’t put on a public display when it came to deporting illegal immigrants. He did it in a way that adhered to the law, with a focus on those that had broken the law after entry. The policy was in his words, "Felons, not families. Criminals, not children. Gang members, not a mom who’s working hard to provide for her kids. We’ll prioritize, just like law enforcement does every day,"

Guess what? In his last term, he deported more illegal immigrants than Trump. Simple fact and he did without sending the military to the Southern border. Obama’s secret sauce was enforcement discretion and effective targeting of those to be deported. It doesn’t disrupt the workforce and it keeps families together.

The U.S. Catholic Church has decided to speak out against President Trump's immigration policies, in a historic move.

A church representative said Trump’s policies “go against some of the basic tenants of our faith — the fundamental right of every human person that need to be respected, no matter their origin, no matter their situation.”

Bishop Mark Seitz is the chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' committee on migration.

He also says Pope Francis "certainly is paying attention" to the administration's actions.
