Having a clearance sale of 50% a few sticker designs that aren't selling on my @Etsy so I can make money to print new ones. Would love a couple retweets to spread the word๐ https://t.co/75BCqZHGqk via @Etsy
@CathyRoot7@RoaringOrb92 My lived experience in Alabama as an Active Duty Member of the USAF is that doctors required myself and my wife to sign an emancipated minor form as we were younger than 19.
@CathyRoot7@RoaringOrb92 Lived experience: something that I have actually directly experienced. Hearsay: something that I heard or was told by some one else.
@RahzWelk @MeghaanJ@jessdkant Thank you for the clarification. I am not a native of Alabama, I got transplanted here by the Air Force well after I would have hit that age. I just know what I experienced and some of my airmen experienced when they had to seek treatment.
@CathyRoot7@RoaringOrb92 What, because I didnโt respond right away. Sorry, I have a full time job that actually requires me to focus. But I am happy to have someone fact check me. I am not arguing that they are not right. Just that my lived experience proves otherwise.
@RahzWelk @MeghaanJ@jessdkant Yes, as an emancipated minor. You are still a minor. And in this instance we are talking about, an emancipated trans minor would not be allowed to make their own medical decisions
@OGShen@RoaringOrb92@MeghaanJ@jessdkant Reading is hard. For clarity, they did treat me in the ER at 18, but I had to sign a form stating I was an emancipated MINOR.
@RoaringOrb92@MeghaanJ@jessdkant Also, at what point did I say I was actively transitioning while on active duty, when I was on active duty Donโt Ask, Donโt Tell was in effect.
@RoaringOrb92@MeghaanJ@jessdkant Doctors, nurses, and medical billing and admissions know what they deal with 99% of the time. So if the see one 18 year old active duty military out of 100 civilians which way are they going to react?
