The pandemic has exacerbated food insecurity. Moisson Montréal reported a 42 per cent increase in food distribution in 2020-2021, and with inflation at a 30-year high, prices may push more people into precarity.

I spent months reading through 1000s of pages of emails, meeting minutes, presentations, maps and scientific studies... And behold, I bring you the behind-the-scenes story of the (lack of) investigation into New Brunswick's mystery neurological illness. 🧵

Beginning the year strong. Happy to announce that I’m one of @mtlgazette newest columnists! It will be an honour to write for The Gazette and share my views of my Montreal, a multicultural, multilingual city I was born and raised in.

Unbelievable pictures of Israeli forces attacking mourners carrying the coffin of Shireen Abu Akleh to church for her funeral in Occupied East Jerusalem.
Absolutely heart stopping moment when it looks like casket may fall.

My first true friend here in Montreal, @yaraelsoueidi has introduced me to some of the city’s most loved spots. Her latest article looks at how they’re disappearing as the city stands idly by. Always impressed by this woman!!
Dans ma dernière chronique pour @NoovoInfo, je jase de la fermeture des commerces et des institutions culturelles de Montréal et de l'inaction de la ville. J'ai repris les propos de @wstraw que j'avais interviewé l'été passé. MTL is dead, vive MTL!

We lost all the students in yesterday’s attack and left with empty class. Please don’t write about Afghan’s pride & resilience anymore. We are tired, exhausted, shattered & devastated. Afghans need a break. Afghans need peace. Afghans need a normal, equal & poor but hopeful life.
Today, I visited Anima Mundi, part of the Vatican Museum with Indigenous “artifacts” kept in the Church’s private collection. There is an “Ontario”pipe stove from the 18th century, Haida Gwaii masks from the 18th Century, much more. I photographed them and was asked to leave.
