Well I just made the mistake of watching the video of me giving a paper at Leeds IMC last week. The paper itself was fine but hearing my voice on the recording was not. I sound like a peasant masquerading as an academic

I had a browse of the #imc2021 book fair and managed to restrain myself. I only bought one book! I couldn’t pass up on the opportunity of this excellent book for only £11.99 though

@DrAdamChapman Yes it is! I’ve read that section of froissarts chronicle and loved the story of bascot and his men dressing as women to get into a town. Very monty python!

Yes!! All 4 panels @KathrynHurlock and I proposed on medieval war and memory have been accepted. These panels will be on the last 2 days, and include some fascinating papers from the early medieval period right through to post medieval memory. I hope to see some of you there :)
