Does anyone have any sources for choropleth maps which are designed to support students with #colourblindness?
I want to make sure my learning resources are as accessible as possible but short of making them myself, I’m not sure where to start! @colourblindorg

@colourblindorg Thanks for this. I had a student ask me for some advice re: alternatives to colour coding and I want to make sure I have some helpful possible solutions for them.

I have started to introduce symbols onto colour-coded materials so students can ‘symbol-code’ but I often encourage students to colour-code their work as a method of info sorting, esp with revision.
What is a good alternative for #colourblind students? @colourblindorg

Absolutely! I also think that any performance data used for streaming should be only part of a much larger discussion. So often, the pastoral reasons for poor behaviour can also contribute to underachievement, particularly in pressurised assessment settings.

If you set or stream, for God's sake don't base it on behaviour. If you want to guarantee a badly behaved student switches off forever, put them in a class below their capabilities, and see what happens.
