General Syrskyi: At present, we're making virtually no use of armoured vehicles. Our military personnel, just like enemy, effectively advancing on foot, as in World War I.

In order to reach front line for offensive operations, infantryman sometimes has to march 10-15 km on foot.

This raises the question: how can we neutralise this advantage enjoyed by drones and give our armour a new lease of life?

The answer lies in developing active defence systems that will shoot down drones themselves and complement the existing system, where drones are used to shoot down other drones.

Then all conventional types of weaponry — tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, artillery — will be given a new lease of life and will once again be deployed extensively.

But these will no longer be tanks or infantry fighting vehicles in the conventional sense, but highly sophisticated systems capable of countering various threats posed by drones.

SIKORSKI: I'd like to point out the difference in the targets that the two sides select. Russians hit an 11th-century monastery in Kyiv. And remember, in the 11th century, Moscow was still a forest. Ukrainians hit an oil refinery in Moscow, which is a legitimate military target.

Während in der Politik so unerträglich leichtfertig darüber geredet wird, dass die Ukraine 🇺🇦 doch „einfach Gebiete abtreten“ soll, sprechen die Menschen vor Ort eine ganz andere Sprache. Sie kämpfen für ihr Zuhause. Und niemand auf dieser Welt hat verdammt noch mal das Recht, über ihre Köpfe hinweg zu entscheiden! Nur weil ein mächtigerer Nachbar 🇷🇺 meint, einen kleineren brutal überfallen zu müssen, macht ihn das nicht zum Eigentümer dieses Landes.
Mich machen diese ganzen Lügen im Netz, die von Ruzzland verbreitet werden, so unfassbar wütend. Es ist doch längst nachweislich bewiesen, dass die Geschichte, die Ukrainer hätten damals im Donbass Ruzzland angegriffen, von vorne bis hinten erstunken, erlogen und inszeniert war. Und es ändert auch überhaupt nichts an der Wahrheit, dass Ruzzland dort inzwischen die Bevölkerung austauscht, nachdem sie das Land überrannt haben, um Fakten zu schaffen.
Zwei Frauen stehen mitten in den Trümmern ihrer eigenen Straße und weinen, weil ihnen von heute auf morgen alles genommen wurde. Sie sagen: „Jeder von uns hatte seine Arbeit, sein Zuhause. Die Kinder sind zur Schule gegangen. Wir haben niemanden herbeigesehnt.“
Wer heute fordert, dass man Ruzzland diesen Teil der Ukraine einfach überlassen soll, der tritt das Völkerrecht mit Füßen und glaubt lieber den Lügen der Täter, als den Menschen, die dort alles verloren haben.
Gerade jetzt, mit dem aktuellen Treffen zwischen Zelenskyj und Trump 🇺🇸, macht mir das Ganze unheimliche Sorgen, das am Ende wieder versucht wird, der Ukraine ihr eigenes Land wegzunehmen – nur für einen schnellen, faulen Frieden.
Genau deshalb muss Europa 🇪🇺 jetzt absolut stark bleiben und eine klare Kante zeigen! Wenn es hart auf hart kommt, müssen Länder wie Deutschland 🇩🇪, Frankreich 🇫🇷 und der Rest der EU auch einem Trump die Stirn bieten und dürfen die Ukraine nicht im Stich lassen.
