The public deserves clarity about Senator McConnell’s ability to serve. Questions have only intensified following reports that Elaine Chao, McConnell’s wife, traveled to China for meetings with senior CCP officials while Senator McConnell has remained hospitalized for more than 20 days with very few public updates about his condition.

One additional question: Since Senator McConnell is the Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee, who is overseeing the committee while he is hospitalized? Is Senate Leader John Thune @LeaderJohnThune and the Senate Republican Conference considering appointing another Republican to chair the committee if Chairman McConnell remains unable to perform those duties?

Totally possible.

In which case he is either mentally incapacitated or unconscious.

An 80+ year old man, does not bounce back from cardiac arrest, CPR and 3 weeks in hospital.

That cover-up would be just as immoral, as his staff have an obligation to file his resignation if he is unfit to serve.

The 3-month survival rate for 80 year olds who had a cardiac arrest is less than 3%.

Of those, many never regain self-sufficient function.

He is either gone, has one foot out the door or is unfit to be in the Senate.

And just like with Feinstein, pretending it isn’t the case, serves no one.

It is time for Congress to demand his resignation OR to verify a proof of life and function.

I think we moved on WAY too fast from Ken Paxton letting convicted child molester Adam Hoffman off with a ONE-DAY JAIL SENTENCE.

I can think of a few of reasons Senator McConnell's loving wife, Elaine Chao, would leave her husband's side and go to China just days after he was hospitalized:
1. He's already deceased
2. Her higher loyalty is in China
2. She's not exactly a loving wife
