Dear white parents with babies or toddlers, please buy your little ones Black and Brown baby dolls. You're not doing them a favor when all they see is whiteness. Tell your babies how beautiful that Black or Brown doll is. Introduce your babies to story books with diverse people.
My Dad rarely spoke about residential school. However, one thing that stuck with me was his account of how the older boys would position themselves closer to the door in the dorms so the younger boys wouldn’t be chosen when the priests came to get them at night. #215children
Has the person who decided that a mother and new baby should be without their support person ever had a baby themselves?
Do they understand the physical and mental barriers associated with this? And the long term damage it can cause due to birth trauma?
Being diligent about covid-19 restraints is one thing but this is not ok. If the support person is in the hospital they should be allowed to stay for the duration of their partners visit. @Johnrockdoc @EasternHealthNL @CMOH_NL@CBCNL@NTVNewsNL@VOCMNEWS
I have a huge favor to ask of you all today.
It's one that can make a huge difference... If you haven't already done so, please download the #CovidAlert App. Having it will have a huge impact on our fight against the spread of COVID-19 in NL. 🙏

This year, Scientific American endorsed a presidential candidate for the first time in our 175-year history.
The 2020 election is literally a matter of life and death. We urge you to vote for science, health and Joe Biden for President. https://t.co/8TlH7shjFn
@AuKeegan Dr. Pike-Au took me on as a patient with open arms and helped me through my pregnancy and the first couple months after I delivered. Kind words aren’t enough to describe how much she helped me. She really is a hero!
N.L. Health Minister John Haggie and chief medical officer of health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald demonstrate the safe distance to keep between you and another person.
And show us that it's still OK to smile, but keep taking it seriously!

South Korea was doing a fantastic job of controlling #COVIDー19 for the first 30 patients. Then #Patient31 came along, did not adhere to social distancing and caused 2 clusters that were responsible for 80% of South Korea's infections. Don't be #Patient31. https://t.co/7e3a1h28eJ
