In the Christian view, daily life was never meant to be divided into “holy” and “ordinary.”

Every act - tending a child, sweeping a floor, tilling a field, could be lifted up as a prayer and an offering to God.

This vision transformed even the most hidden, humble labors into acts of eternal significance. The woman baking bread was not merely feeding bodies; she was participating in the generosity of the Creator. The man crafting a tool was not merely earning a living; he was exercising the dominion entrusted to Adam.

Modern life, obsessed with productivity and visibility, has lost this sacred imagination.

We were not made to toil for wealth or recognition, but to sanctify the world through work offered in love.
