@johnbohnenkamp I don't disagree with your statement, but the original post was really about bad incentives. I'll add that without a salary cap, big teams can afford to make more mistakes and still win. Good management is required regardless, but there is a larger sweet spot for big teams.
@XS1lentMaj0rity@atrupar Yep, your position is clear. And I recognize it is a very tough job. Police have had to face this scrutiny, and have spent years having to have investigations after incidents - ones were they may be cleared. ICE should be subject to the same standard.
@XS1lentMaj0rity@atrupar Do you really think I am saying they shouldn't defend themself? Let me be clear - I don't think there was a deadly threat. I am not alone. This needs a review and investigation. I don't see where this is unreasonable.
@XS1lentMaj0rity@atrupar Right. So where we disagree is the term "deadly threat" being created here. I think a lot of people disagree on that term in these 2 cases. It's not out of bounds to have a court decide that.
@XS1lentMaj0rity@atrupar Therein lies the difficulty of the job of ICE. Some lawful citizens react with fear in the same way that illegal aliens might. Lawful citizens have rights. And the punishment for blocking a road should not be death.
