On August 30, a committee of affected workers began an encampment next to Brampton’s busiest highway in protest of the federal government’s sudden & unfair changes in immigration policies.

A 19-year old worker, a young woman belonging to the Sikh community in Halifax, has died after being trapped in Walmart’s walk-in oven.

This is heartbreaking news for this worker’s family, the community and for workers everywhere.
