We are angry law students organizing law school campuses to strike against the illegitimate confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to SCOTUS. We demand his impeachment
Today was just the beginning.
#StrikeAgainstKavanaugh is building a national coalition to create a true democracy and a system we can believe in.
We demand accountability. We will not stop until Kavanaugh is impeached from SCOTUS.
Together, we will build a better world.
Words cannot capture this tragedy😔
Borders are violence. We must fight to end all walls, borders, and oppressive restrictions on migrants; the deaths by our government will not be in vain.

#JamesDavis has spent the last 14 years in prison for a crime that he didn't commit. We're working to free him. Sign our petition to support this effort, and read his full story: https://t.co/fdgx1Swlow https://t.co/wCZq5zuezi
4 years ago today Cleveland police officer Timothy Loehmann shot 12-year-old Tamir Rice. Police waited 4 minutes before providing Rice with first aid. He died the following day. https://t.co/UzKhoYQNqp
"The modern #Thanksgiving celebration doesn’t have to memorialize a history of colonial genocide. It can present a learning opportunity, and moreover, an opportunity."

Congratulations to @Harvard_Law student organizers on their successful #DumpKirkland campaign! The firm announced that they are getting rid of mandatory arbitration agreements designed to force workers and interns from fighting harassment & discrimination. https://t.co/Z2MtSJITRN
“Kavanaugh was granted a lifetime appointment to a deeply undemocratic institution...by a legislative body that counts some votes more than others, [&] was selected by a president who lost the popular vote, a pedigree he shares with THREE of his colleagues”https://t.co/ZmSot3ytpN
Recently, I met a teenager charged w/ trespassing for walking across a construction site. The case was dismissed, but when he was arrested, cops threw him to the ground & held a gun to his head.
This, not people protesting outside your house, is what it means to be terrorized.
Terrance Truitt has been jailed repeatedly in In Alabama over court debt for fishing to feed his family. In Alabama, people convicted of minor crimes are frequently slapped with large court debts—regardless of their ability to pay, https://t.co/buuwRuswjY by @mauraewing
This is huge. The American Public Health Association just adopted a policy statement officially recognizing the violence of policing as a public health issue. Good work to @endpolviolence and all those who spent the last 2+ years making this happen!
In Georgia police just arrested election activists who held balloons spelling out the number of voters purged by Brian Kemp, who is claiming he won the governor race.
Our criminal justice system is inverted. Elite crime like purging voters is LEGAL. Calling it out is ILLEGAL.
And then calling out the HUNDREDS of private companies who use prison slave labor in production. @Walmart is one such company, actually. Along with @McDonalds, @WholeFoods, @NintendoAmerica, and @Starbucks. Here’s a few more:

Get ready for a grueling, direct-action based fight. If you’re in NYC, please come to the March for Housing Justice @ Bowling Green on Thurs at 4:30 to protest!
“The imminent announcement is expected as soon as Tuesday” 😡

Congratulations to @FutureCoalition on their amazing organizing this Election Day!
Now it’s time to organize and demand our new politicians: #AbolishICE, pass #MedicareForAll, fight the NRA, restore #Right2Vote for prisoners, #ImpeachKavanaugh, & fight to stop climate disaster.
This Election day, we walked out to vote. We cheered each other on as those eligible cast their ballots. We voted to make sure our future is safe and just for everyone. 2020, we’re ready.
Every day in America, 500,000 people are jailed pre-trial simply because they are too poor to buy their freedom. These are people who are presumed innocent. $500 bail may mean a trip to the ATM for some. But for most, it means jail with no end in sight. https://t.co/MNVXrWy9ue
A good way to solve all these vote tabulation problems the Republicans are so upset about would be to establish robust national standards for the conduct of elections. Someone should look into that.
