After a long hiatus here is my latest blog post about Log Analytics for Power BI.
It is based on real-life implementation.
Thank to @RuiRomano & others for the Power BI Template.

@GreyskullPBI Really good post. One more reason to not treat date dimensions the same as other dimensions is self service ease of use. We need to make the model as easy and self explanatory as possible for other report creators.
@GreyskullPBI@KlineJordan@PhilSeamark When you choose Assume RI in DQ than it will make the join inner instead of outer which will eliminate all rows that are missing their other side from both tables. I do not know of any comprehensive documentation. That’s why bloggers like @PhilSeamark are so valuable. :)
@GreyskullPBI@KlineJordan@PhilSeamark Hi @GreyskullPBI many rules you can set for dimension tables are not applicable fully on date tables. In this case I would accept the RI violation and leave it null. Or make it a dual purpose column with different meanings for past and future dates.

@jburnmurdoch@kimmanis The raw source (it can be 5-10 different sources), the transformed, cleaned, aligned data model or the prefiltered and aggregated visual data. The more you go forward the less you can make your own analysis, the more you go back the more skills you need.
@jburnmurdoch@kimmanis Hi John, I have a little side project with open data called https://t.co/aLkfAG4Ln9. I understand your concern about having access to the data. I would always like to provide that, but it is not simple because we do a lot of work on it. My question is which version of the data?
Using #powerbi reports as an ad-on to your main product, why am I seeing more of this just now?
Hearing customers that are trying to do this gave me a lot of food for thought!

It takes a lot of time to read the Power BI Documentation. I wanted to ease my and others life by creating easy to use reports about important Power BI features. Here are the first three.
* Data Sources
* Rest APIs
* Admin

@MSPowerBI, #SSBI from @MKavasi
@maggiesMSFT@MSPowerBI@MKavasi One thing, if we can have the documentation easily scrapable then it could be integrated into company learning materials or knowledge bases. I currently struggling with refreshing my RestAPI report because the documentation html code keeps changing and is different in some cases
@maggiesMSFT@MSPowerBI@MKavasi I really like the #PowerBI documentation. It is full of valuable content. All I did is just make it more searchable and visual. Power BI is just the best tool to really free up data.
