Etihad Airways’ customer service right now is a complete sham.

They say cancelled flights can be rebooked on alternative flights. Sounds reasonable, except you can’t actually do it yourself.

You’re told to call their helpline. The same helpline that doesn’t connect to a human and keeps you stuck in automated loops.

So effectively passengers are left with only one practical option: cancel the ticket and request a refund.

With limited flights currently operating, this means customers then have to rebook at significantly higher fares.

It’s hard not to see this as Etihad indirectly forcing cancellations so those seats can be resold at higher prices.

If rebooking is truly an option, make it available online instead of sending customers to a helpline that doesn’t work.

Passengers deserve transparency and actual support, not a system designed to leave them stranded.

@EtihadHelp @etihad hi Etihad, your ground staff in India told us that you can help us with our flight rebooking as its not possible via the app. EY335 and EY43 got canceled and they said operation will start from 8th March, Kochi to Abu Dhabi.

@etihad @EtihadHelp out return leg flight has been canceled (EY335) and connecting EY43 to Amsterdam. We need to get back asap to Amsterdam due to sick parents and running out of funds. Please help with accomodation and rebooking (we cannot rebook via the website).
