In a statement, the party said bases belonging to its armed wing in Chamshar, near the Darashakran camp north-west of Erbil, were targeted on Monday, 25 May 2026. It said nine Peshmerga fighters were wounded, four of them seriously.
Despite a ceasefire announced on 8 April between the United States and Iran, Tehran has continued to target camps and military positions of Iranian Kurdish opposition groups in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region.
