While the world sleeps, there are souls standing in the dark, whispering to Allah. No camera. No crowd. Just them and their Lord. That silent connection moves mountains. Be one of those souls.
On International Workers' Day, I extend my deepest gratitude and heartfelt greetings to all working-class people serving both at home and abroad.
On May 1, 1886, at Chicago's Haymarket Square, American workers took to the streets with a humane demand: 'No more than eight hours of work a day.' Their peaceful procession was met with indiscriminate fire from the police. The streets of Chicago were soaked in the blood of workers, and today, the world observes May Day upon the legacy of that sacrifice. I pay my profound respects to all the martyrs of that day.
Bangladesh has observed May Day since its independence. However, the day often remains confined to formalities; limited to banners, speeches, and discussions. In reality, the fortune of the working class has seen little change.
During the era of Awami fascism, workers demanding fair wages faced unprecedented repression. Labor leaders were repeatedly abducted in the dark of night. Even after thirteen years, justice for the victims of the Rana Plaza tragedy remains elusive.
The working people of this country also shed blood in the July Uprising, dreaming of fundamental change. Yet, tragically, discrimination has not ended in post-uprising Bangladesh. Fair wages are still not guaranteed.
On this International Workers' Day, our resolve is to build a worker-friendly Bangladesh where the dignity, rights, and fair dues of every working person are fully secured.

Eid Mubarak to the hospitalized, the unjustly imprisoned, the displaced, the refugees, the homeless, the grieving, the workers who had to spend it away from their families, and anyone who woke up to no one wishing them a blessed Eid.
May Allah lift all of your burdens.
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.
I extend my warmest Eid greetings and heartfelt congratulations to all the people of Bangladesh on the blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. May Allah accept our fasts, prayers and sacrifices throughout this holy month of Ramadan and may this Eid bring joy, unity and renewed blessings to every home across our beloved country.
I also extend my greetings to Muslim brothers and sisters around the world. Khush Amdeed to all.
Yet even as we celebrate, our hearts grieve for those Muslim nations who have spent this entire Ramadan under the flames of war, displacement and suffering. Their pain is our pain.
War is never a solution, it brings destruction far greater than any gain. May Allah Almighty accept as martyrs those who have been killed through oppression. May He grant patience and strength to the injured, the disabled and those who have lost everything.
We pray that Allah lifts the trials of the oppressed in every land, protects Muslims from all forms of tyranny and blesses this world with lasting peace and justice.
Taqabbalallahu Minna Wa Minkum. Eid Mubarak.
