AI Generated Content: My mum has made many Nigerian princes thousands of dollars — US VP, JD Vance, shares his mother’s hilarious experience

US Vice President JD Vance has shared a hilarious story about his mother’s struggles with identifying fake content online, revealing that she once believed an AI generated video claiming he and his wife, Usha Vance, were having marital problems.

Speaking on a podcast with Bryce Crawford, Vance said his mother sent him the TikTok video and questioned whether there was trouble in his marriage. He explained that he had to tell her the video was fake and warned her against believing everything she sees on the internet.

Vance then jokingly revealed that his mother has apparently fallen victim to online scams involving people posing as Nigerian princes.

“I mean, my mom like, again, God love her, but she has made many Nigerian princes many thousands of dollars. Like, she is one of these people who”,he said

When Theo Von suggested she was a victim of Facebook sc@m, Vance added another hilarious description of the situation.“There is an entire Nigerian Camelot dynasty that’s being funded by my mom.”,he said.

He also recalled how fake social media accounts could use the same profile picture while operating under different names.

Vance ultimately used the story to caution people about the growing dangers of AI generated content and misinformation, urging them to be more careful about what they believe online.

Before solar and rechargeable lamps… there was this old local lamp 🪔

It smoked, it burned… but it gave us light.

We read, cooked, planned, and survived under it ❤️

If you remember, say “We survived.”
