The absurdity is staggering. When Shabana Mahmood was asked why this policy wasn’t applied to Pakistan, despite more than 10,600 people entering legally and later claiming asylum, she said she wouldn’t give a “running commentary” on discussions with other countries.

Yet Sudan, where only about 120 students applied for asylum, is punished.

Did you even discuss this with Sudan? Or is this just selective politics disguised as immigration control?
