Like when he talks on the phone with his brother in ep 1 his Russian is average at best versus when he talks on the phone in episode 4, it’s a lot better. And then he probably did a lot of prep for the Russian monologue

@Missus_Slocombe @freekirapls Yeah I agree with you that they did not film in order but I have to say as a native Russian speaker there’s a drastic difference in his pronunciation in eps 1/2 vs 4-6. Maybe they filmed the Russian scenes in order?

@freekirapls Thank you for saying this, I thought I was losing my mind when I saw other Russian speakers be like “I thought he was a native speaker” or “he speaks like a native speaker who has lived in the states for a long time” like NO HE DOES NOT 😭😭 It’s quite obvious he’s not fluent

@1bighairedbitch As a native Russian speaker, I haven’t seen anyone say Shanya sounds stupid? Obviously it doesn’t make sense because the name Shane doesn’t exist in Russian, but I think the nickname Shanya is cute. Plus it kind of sounds like the nickname Женя which is the diminutive for Евгений

So when I criticize Ilya it’s because of how she wrote him not because of how Connor brought the character to life

@asexualkermit Hudson and Connor are definitely not signing another contract after 3 seasons, they are represented by CAA who will want to negotiate a high paying contract for their clients. And to put it plainly HR and Crave will not be able to afford them because of that 🤷🏻‍♀️
